Winamp is a very good sound player

Winamp is a program which plays sound. It plays all kinds of sound files, including MP3, CD, WMA, Audiosoft, Mjuice, MOD, WAV and others. Winamp supports plug-ins, which expand the program to include many other interesting functions. And best of all is the ability to accept "skins", which are small files which change the appearance of the Winamp player (useless but cool feature).

Winamp is free (AOL bought the product and converted it to freeware) and can be downloaded by anyone. It runs on Windows 95, 98 and NT (not on the Macintosh though).
