Clean Up Your Disk Space
Windows XP is shipped with a nifty little utility which cleans up your disk, thus freeing up disk space for other uses. This program deletes unnecessary files from your hard drive.

To run this utility, select "Run" from the "Start" menu. Enter "cleanmgr" at the "Open" prompt.
You can use a number of different qualifiers if you wish.
- /d driveletter: - the drive to be examined
- /sageset:n - This displays the dialog and creates a registry key to store the settings you select on the screen.
- /sagerun:n - select the nth saved settings that you previously saved with /sageset.

Select the drive that you want to clean up.

The utility will now search the drive for files which can be deleted. This may take a few minutes.

Now select the tasks that you want to be performed by the cleanup utility.

You can also select other, optional tasks that you want to be performed to regain even more disk space.
