Clipart
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost......" J.R.R. Tolkein
Most web sites need some kind of graphics. Some sites have so many graphics that they require hours for each page to load (at least it might seem that way) and others just have a background image or a logo. It just depends upon what the webmaster is attempting to communicate.
Sometimes a webmaster just loves to create images and spends hour after hour making the perfect image. At the other end of the spectrum, you have webmasters who have never even used a graphics editor in their entire lives.
One thing that can make life a little easier for any webmaster is clipart. At least I know that I go through clip art like water. I love this stuff ... and it can add tremendously to your web site presentation.
Clipart is available everywhere. You can get it off the web, most graphics programs include major clipart collections, you can purchase them by the boat load, and even Microsoft Office has tens of thousands of pictures.
Speaking of Microsoft Office, they do indeed include a large set of clipart with their premium product. It's ... okay. I've used a few of them now and then, but usually I have not been able to find what I've needed.
Personally, I tend to favor the small, almost personal graphics sites instead of the massive archive vaults such as clipart.com. Oh, that's a fine site but it has so many graphics that I tend to get lost and never find what I want.
